Returning to work after a long holiday weekend should qualify as a uniquely cruel form of punishment. One minute, you're blissfully logging off on Friday with an extra day of freedom ahead, no Sunday scaries, no emails, no "quick calls," just DND all weekend long. And then BAM, it's Monday again and somehow we're expected to work five entire days in a row. I would like to petition to bring back summer break like when we were kids.

Last weekend was Memorial Day, and like many of you, I soaked up every second of that extra time.
